The WAM Internship Program is widely recognized in the audio and music production industry for its high-quality training, hands-on experience, and strong job placement opportunities.
As a WAM intern, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals, support real programs and events, and build technical and professional skills in a welcoming, collaborative environment. You’ll gain valuable experience, grow your network, and make a meaningful impact in the audio industry.
WAM interns have gone on to work at leading companies like Dolby, Pixar, and Apple, helping shape the future of audio and technology.
It was extremely validating to be surrounded by individuals who not only are similar to me, but share the same goals, problems, and values as me. As women and non-male audio engineers, I feel like we are constantly made to feel like we don’t belong and that our skills are never good enough. However, being part of this program has helped me get over that hurdle, and I am extremely thankful.
Shadowing the sound engineers at Outside Lands two years in a row has been the experience of a lifetime! Seeing all the connecting pieces that go into such productions was astonishing and eye-opening. Opportunities in audio are here! Not only was I able to connect with Sound On Stage and APE Concerts, but it also led to several connections and in-person engineering sessions with the good folks at Sound Image Productions in San Francisco!
It’s essential to know that the community is everything in any industry. Being a part of the WAM community is the beginning of an ever-unfolding audio community with arms wide open to expanding representation in audio, and I am so grateful to be a part of it! Thanks for the opportunity!
