$5,000 – Brings Girls on the Mic to 1 school for a semester

WAM has relationships with over 50 school partners around the Bay Area. Support one semester of creative technology and digital media training for girls and gender-expansive youth at one school site so students can attend for sessions free of charge. Each semester of Girls on the Mic serves over 2,000 girls and gender-expansive youth – we have incredible reach and impact! You make it happen!

$3,000 – Sponsor a Paid Intern

Each year WAM hosts 60+ young adults who are ready to take the next step in their audio careers. WAM offers every intern hands-on, technical training in the studio, mentorship, soft-skills training, and direct job placement opportunities with audio and music industry recruiters, providing a pathway to employment. $3,000 supports an intern for one semester!

$1,000 – Support a student in WAM Academy

WAM Academy is an opportunity for aspiring audio engineers & music producers to learn and find community through classes, workshops, and crucial industry certifications like Pro Tools and Dolby Atmos spatial sound! WAM champions accessibility, and support allows us to offer these educational opportunities at 70-90% below market rate and provide scholarships to BIPOC students.

$750 – Daily Studio Rental in Los Angeles

WAM is searching for a permanent recording studio to purchase in Los Angeles, fulfilling the goals of our national expansion campaign. In the interim, WAM rents out iconic studios like Gold Diggers Sound to provide hands-on training in a professional studio environment. Supports a day of essential in-studio learning for WAM’s LA students and interns.

$500 – Sponsor a Local Sirens Concert

Each year, a cohort of 10 local BIPOC emerging artists complete paid residencies to create new work in WAM’s SF Studios – the only in the world built and run entirely by women & gender-expansive staff. Support pays for one artist to perform their new work at a free, all-aged public performance.

$300 – Bring an Industry Expert to WAMCon

WAM’s annual recording arts conference wouldn’t be possible without workshops with industry heavy-hitters like GRAMMY-award winning engineer Leslie Ann Jones (Skywalker Sound), GRAMMY-nominated artists & producers like K.Flay, Suzy Shinn (Dua Lipa, Alicia Keys, Weezer, Panic! At the Disco), Sarah Register (Ariana Grande, Sia, The Shins), & more. Support covers the workshop fee for one speaker – providing a once in a lifetime opportunity for young engineers to learn from the best in the business.

$100 – Support an instructor traveling safely to classes for one semester

WAM relies on ride-share services to provide safe travel for our Girls on the Mic instructors from the studio to the classroom with their teaching gear. To ensure that all instructors have the support they need to travel around the Bay Area and continue to reach our expanded community, provide ride vouchers for all WAM instructors to reach school sites safely!
